Square D Fashions is located
near Sacramento, California. For
more than 26 years, Square D Fashions has catered to the square, round,
western, and line dancing communities.
In October 2004, Andrea and Ken Schatz purchased Square D
Fashions and moved the business to the building next door to its
original location. As of January 1, 2007, the store has
been in a specially built building in their
backyard.
Dancers themselves, Andrea took her first new dancer class in
1978 with the Bachelors & Bachelorettes in Santa Barbara,
California. In 1982-1983 she took the new dancer
program
again with the
Sacramento Single Squares in Sacramento, California. Life got
in the way until 1998 when she started yet again and .... is
still dancing! In 2002 Ken joined Andrea and is as hooked on
the activity as she is.

Andrea is an avid seamstress, having made most of her own dancing
outfits plus matching shirts for Ken. She is looking forward to
designing unique ensembles for other square dancers who are
interested in one-of-a-kind outfits. Look for her
exclusive "Anne Draya" label and especially her embroidered
skirts.
Under the watchful eye of Andrea, Square D has expanded Square
D's collection of broomstick skirts, prairie skirts (cotton,
cotton/poly, polyester, and rayon), and three and four
tiered skirts (cotton or rayon) - most are acceptable to wear
for "normal" daily wear as well as dancing. Browse our
pages to see other unique items.
Ken is a talented computer programmer and is the strength
"behind the scenes" at the store and festivals. However, you
can't miss him at dances - at 6'6" tall, he towers over most
other dancers.
Come visit us at Square D Fashions, visit our booth at
festivals, and join us in a square! We look forward to meeting
you all!
